Unlocking the Potential of the Arab Spring: TechWadi Kicks Off January 16th
TechWadi #TechSpring launches on January 16th, 2012 at Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, California, to address unlocking the potential of the Arab Spring and harnessing the power of technology and innovation to create sustainable economic growth in the MENA region and beyond.
Speakers include Mike Cassidy (Google), Julie Hanna (Kiva), Deena Shakir (State Department), Osama Bedier (Google), George Akiki (Cisco), Khaled Nasr (InterWest Partners), and many more. The Forum will explore opportunities in technology across the Arab world and discuss insights on trends and future areas of cooperation with Silicon Valley.
The event will also offer an opportunity to listen to and interact with delegates from the Middle East visiting Silicon Valley as part of the High Tech Roadshow organized by NUSACC and IJMA3-USA, and will host a reception at the Tech Museum for a chance to get together and network while enjoying the very successful “Islamic Science Rediscovered” exhibition.
See the TechWadi website for more information.
TIME: 09:00 am
