Hala Labaki, CEO and co-founder of Shahiya, explains at Arabnet 2012 the idea behind Shahiya, the platform providing interactive cooking recipes, where anyone can create a profile and add their own recipes. After reviewing the recipes, Shahiya’s team decides whether to publish them or not, based on their applicability, availability of their components and their originality. “We have more than 4000 published recipes, but we make sure to publish high quality recipes”, says Labaki. She talks about the mobile app “Cook Lebanese” released by Shahiya and the upcoming apps as the mobile version and the full application of the website. At the end Labaki talks about the funding and the future plans of Shahiya.
