Pivoting into Mobile: Alexis Bonte of Social Gaming Company eRepublik [Wamda TV]
At the Webrazzi Summit 2012 event earlier this month, Alexis Bonte, co-founder of eRepublik, discusses the company’s pivot from social browser-based gaming to mobile after acquiring a small mobile gaming studio.
eRepublik’s strategy game has seen over 3.5 million players and Bonte announced their expansion into Turkey at the Webrazzi conference. Their games are free to play, a model Bonte explains is the most effective way to reach consumers and monetize.
Bonte also discusses eRepublik’s outlook towards the MENA region, anticipating the launch of Arabic language for their major games, and further expansion into Turkey.
