If you could redesign today's response to a humanitarian crisis, what would it look like?

Today, a growing ecosystem of Lebanese and US-based NGOs are now turning to innovative technology to find solutions for the refugee crisis. The Open Source Action Network, in collaboration with TechWadi and other partners, is organizing a multi-day hackathon called Innovating Refuge. The event takes place on June 3-5 at Beirut Digital District in Beiurt, in Beirut. Teams will be tasked with building workable prototypes by the end of the weekend that will then be demo-ed to a panel of judges on the final day. Find the full schedule here.

Students, tech enthusiasts and NGO activists are all encouraged to apply.

Winning teams will receive cash prizes and follow-on support to bring their solutions from prototypes to pilot-ready. Register here.
