Goktug Okan Oguz, co-founder of Turkish flash sales and e-commerce platform Unnado, which sells products for future moms and babies, is entrepreneur of the week on Wamda today.
After being in business for more than two years, Oguz, who is also an Endeavor Turkey entrepreneur, says that Unnado has been quadrupling its revenues every year. Its secret recipe, he explains, is knowing that "women are very sensitive when it comes to pregnancy and their babies, so we focused on offering them the best services and purchase experience on the market, to build a long term relationship with them."
Oguz explains in his chat that the fact that Turkey has the youngest population in Western Europe played a big role in helping Unnado scale up. Young women are becoming more open to technology and e-commerce, which is helping the entrepreneurial ecosystem grow at a healthy pace.
It looks like Unnado has many plans for the years to come, including a goal to increase the number of brands offered, import more products into the Turkish market, and launch their own product line for motherhood and baby products.
