Gaza’s Sadaf Technology Development has launched Ringak (which means 'your ringtone' in English), a service that offers customized ringtones that can include the customer’s first and last name, or can be customized for dialect and rhythm.
Here CEO Mohammed Alafranji discusses how the company serves the Gulf market, producing high quality ringtones in its studio and delivering them online within three working days.
“Since its launch, Ringak has attracted many visitors from the Gulf, especially from Saudi and the UAE,” Sales and Marketing Officer, Tamer Hamam, also explains.
Since the company can’t yet afford to open an office in the Gulf, where its biggest customer base is located, it has continued to grow in Gaza, despite the poor internet connection, yet the company deals with many online service providers and servers outside of Palestine, according to the team. Their low operational cost compared to neighboring countries gives the company a competitive edge, the team says.
