The African Development Bank (AFDB), in collaboration with Yunus Social Business (YSB) launched the iBDA (‘ibda’ literally means “start” in Arabic) that will be aiming at empowering entrepreneurship and building a social business accelerator in Tunis and will be recreated around the world.
YSB is an organization co-founded by Nobel Peace Laureate Muhammad Yunus to focus on providing funding and advisory services for socially conscious businesses all around the world.
The initiative invites 11 entrepreneurs from around Tunisia to participate in a two-month intensive training courses, personal coaching, courses on building a sustainable business plan and others on how to make financial projections. The goal of the program is to help beginners gain the necessary skills and tools to manage a successful social business. At the end of the program, the companies will have the opportunity to present themselves for funding.
