If it can be dreamed, it can be made. This is the theme for the 25th Silicon Oasis TechForum, where the discussion will revolve around how sometimes ‘crazy ideas’ can eventually lead to innovation and technological advancements.

Science fiction has been instrumental in predicting and shaping technologies of the future. The 25th Silicon Oasis TechForum explores some of the technological advances predicted and influenced by the science fiction genre and how it is impacting development in the modern world.

The event is set to happen Tuesday Decemeber 13 at DTEC in Dubai Silicon Oasis.

Speakers include Dr. Dhrupad Mathur, who will be leading a panel discussion called ‘Science Fiction for Humanity’, as well as author Noura Al Noman, who will also be leading another panel named ‘Living in a Virtual World’.

The event will also feature a number of Sci-Fi stories to be read for attending children, as well as a hands-on tech exhibit.

P.S. Come dressed as your favorite sci-fi character for an opportunity to win a prize (not everybody has to be Darth Vader, though it would be cool).
