Jusoor Entrepreneurship Competition

Register

Registration for Jusoor’s third annual Entrepreneurship Competition has opened to all Syrian entrepreneurs looking to develop their ideas, acquire entrepreneurship skills, and attract investors. The competition is open for projects in any field with a focus on social and economic development ideas that provide solutions to a problem.

Applications will remain open until March 24.

The competition is comprised of three phases. The first phase will shortlist 15 teams to participate in the second phase, which is the Jusoor Entrepreneurship Bootcamp in Beirut from April 4 to 9. All expenses will be paid by Jusoor.

During the third phase (April 10), teams will present their projects to a panel of judges who will be selecting the top 3 winners. The three teams will win financial prizes to launch or support the development of their projects.

To be eligible, at least one founding member must be Syrian or have grown up in Syria for the majority of his/her life. The project must also be in the seed stage, meaning that the team demonstrates the existence of a track record of performance to prove the potential of their project.

The startup should not require funding beyond $10,000 for a period of 6 months of operations. In addition, the project should show potential growth that is measurable and able to scale.

The team should be also able to offer a clear model of revenues and profits. In the case of non-profit projects, the teams should be able to show clear sustainable impact resulting from their venture.
