Morocco’s Moteur.ma raises round from Malaysian investor

Moteur.ma is a classified car ads startup based in Casablanca. Launched in 2009, FDV funded 32 percent of the startup’s 2015 fundraising round.

In 2016, Moteur.ma raised 250 000 USD.

The funding, the amount of which Moteur.ma has not disclosed, will be used to move into new car ads, in addition to its used car classifieds, according to a statement from the startup.

Moteur.ma is also planning to launch a new website covering three main service.

The first is a purchase guide presenting the technical specs of new car brands, details for car dealers in Morocco, and the available cars and prices.

The second is a comparative price tool kit which can compare different brands.

The third is Test Drive, a feature to enable users to make appointments to test drive new cars..

The future version of the Moteur.ma platform is expected to expand to include the second-hand vehicle pricing sector in the Moroccan market by offering an advanced version of its La Cote service dedicated to the fair valuation of second-hand cars according to several criterias.
