Press release:

Aumet, the AI-first procurement operating system for healthcare, today announced the successful close of a $12 million funding milestone, marking a major step in its journey to transform healthcare supply chains across emerging markets and globally.

Founded by Yahya Aqel (CEO & Co-founder) and Adel Haddad (Co-founder), Aumet is building the foundational infrastructure layer that powers procurement, inventory, and decision-making across the healthcare ecosystem.

Scale & Market Leadership

Aumet has built one of the largest healthcare commerce and data platforms in the region:

  • $1 Billion in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV)
  • 5+ million transactions annually
  • 12,000+ pharmacies across Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia
  • 1,000+ pharmaceutical suppliers connected to the platform

From Marketplace to AI Procurement OS

Aumet has evolved across three major product layers:

  • Pulse (Individual Pharmacies)

A cloud-based system combining inventory management, marketplace, and AI-powered procurement automation. Pulse is the first system globally at scale to integrate inventory and marketplace for pharmacies.

  • Chain (Pharmacy Chains)

A solution enabling centralised procurement and AI-driven decision-making across multi-branch pharmacy operations.

  • Enterprise (Healthcare Systems)

Aumet’s most advanced solution — an AI-powered cognitive procurement OS designed for hospitals, ministries of health, and national healthcare systems.

Enterprise Impact & Government Adoption

Aumet’s Enterprise solution was first deployed at Al-Basheer Hospital, the largest hospital in Jordan.

Today, the system has scaled across:

  • 32 hospitals
  • 500+ medical centers
  • 18+ medical warehouses

This deployment was implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE) in Jordan, alongside Presight, a leading AI company based in Abu Dhabi, which signed an agreement with Aumet to scale the AI Procurement OS across the public healthcare system.

Global Positioning

Globally, companies such as Clarium are addressing similar enterprise-level healthcare supply chain challenges in the United States. Aumet is uniquely positioned to solve these challenges across emerging markets, particularly in the Middle East, where healthcare systems are more fragmented and require localised, data-driven solutions.

The Series A round was led by Emkan Capital, with participation from:

  • Qatar Development Bank (QDB)
  • SABAH Fund (Azerbaijan)
  • AAIC (Japan/Singapore)

Alongside existing investors:

CEO Statement
