Venture X has announced the completion of an investment in Croptimus, an Egyptian agritech startup developing innovative solutions in regenerative agriculture and biochar production.

Croptimus focuses on transforming agricultural and food waste into high-value bio-products, including biochar, activated oil, and bio-oil, helping farms reduce water and fertiliser usage, improve crop health, and adopt more sustainable agricultural practices. The company targets B2B agricultural supply chains across Egypt and the wider region, with the aim of making them more efficient, resilient, and environmentally friendly.

The investment reflects the growing strategic importance of agriculture and food security in the region, as well as the need to deploy technology-driven solutions to address climate and resource challenges. Croptimus is a graduate of the Harvest Accelerator, which focuses on transforming the agricultural sector and strengthening regional food systems through innovation.

Commenting on the investment, Farah Al-Nahhas said the deal represents a positive addition from a new investment group, expressing hope that more angel investors will step up to support agritech startups across the region.
