The event will take place at the Meydan IMAX Theatre in Dubai on February 28, 2013.

The panelists for this evening will share their journeys and what they believe it takes for social enterprises to achieve success.

Panelists include:

  • Tracy Fountain, Back to Basics
  • Omar Samra, Wild Guanabana
  • Akanksha Hazari, m.Paani
  • Leila Ben Gacem, Sougha Initiative
  • Nima Abu Wardeh, Cashy
  • Moderator: Danish Farhan.

Film Screening

Following the panel, there will be a film screening of Bonsai People, The Vision of Muhammad Yunus. Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus is doing extraordinary humanitarian work, which started by lending $27 to 42 people out of his own pocket and has now grown to helping 1 out of every 1,000 people on earth.

By tackling some of the world’s most challenging problems including healthcare, education and alternative energy, he demonstrates to the world that complex problems sometimes do have simple answers. And microcredit is just the tip of the iceberg.
