1864 Accelerator Cairo FinTech 2016 Hackathon

Coders, designers, and entrepreneurs are invited to take part in the first hackathon organized by the 1864 Accelerator, aimed at taking on fintech challenges faced by the Egyptian market. The 3-day event is built around coding, programming and hacking, turning ideas into products which allows participants to implement newly acquired skills. 

Agenda:

  • Day 1 (5:00 pm – 8:00 pm): Introduction of the themes, ideation/brainstorming, and team formation.
     
  • Day 2 (9:00 am – 7:00 pm): Full day of coding and training sessions by Microsoft and access to tools and methods in rapid prototyping as well as lean startup methodologies.
     
  • Day 3 (9:00 am – 8:30 pm): Final coding and debugging before judging and starting the award ceremony.

The hackathon has 3 main themes to tackle, participants get to choose which one they would like to work on:

Customer Acquisition
How can a bank acquire customer better/more efficiently?

Customer loyalty
How can a bank retain retail customer and strengthen engagement & experience?

Banking for SMEs
How can banks help SMEs do business better and evolve new business models?
