Pitch@Palace creates a global platform for entrepreneurs to seek new markets and find new partners and investors, building prosperity and creating jobs.
The Duke of York in the UK has partnered with Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development to bring Pitch@Palace Global to the United Arab Emirates.
The first Pitch@Palace UAE event will take place on October 2-4 2017 and is being hosted atthe Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi.
The event will happen on three stages:
Pitch@Palace On Tour: the aim of this ‘tour’ is to introduce Emirati entrepreneurs to the Pitch@Palace program, connect them to local stakeholders and receive mentoring to develop their businesses. These tours will take place in Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi on September 10, and the American University of Sharjah on September 14.
Pitch@Palace Bootcamp: Happening on October 2, this bootcamp will train shortlisted entrepreneurs for the final event. Only 12 entrepreneurs will be selected afterwards to pitch at the finals.
Pitch@Palace UAE Final: The final pitch will take place on October 4 at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, where the 12 selected entrepreneurs will pitch in front of attending stakeholders. Two winners will be selected to pitch at the Pitch@Palace Global at St. James’s Palace in the UK.
To be eligible to apply you have to either be a UAE national yourself, or build a team including at least one UAE national. The deadline for registration is on August 20.
This year’s event is themed as “Technology Serving Humans”, specifically focusing on the potential impact of technology on our daily lives.
