Press release:

Global gender-lens venture capital fund Mindshift Capital today announces it has invested in MDisrupt, the leading healthtech expert marketplace in the US, as part of its $3 million seed funding round. Mindshift Capital joins a powerhouse tech and healthcare venture capital consortium led by The Venture Collective (TVC) and includes Capita3, 3plus VC, Geek Ventures, The BFM Fund, Zane Venture Fund, Emmeline Ventures and Growth Factory.

This raise will allow MDisrupt to expand its client roster and accelerate the launch of its Expert Marketplace platform, bringing on-demand access to a league of top-tier clinicians and seasoned health experts to the health technology and life science industries.

Founded by Ruby Gadelrab in 2020, MDisrupt is a health expert marketplace connecting innovators with vetted and curated health expert operators to help them build, commercialise, and scale their health products quickly and responsibly.

“We are excited to be backing Ruby, who is a force of nature, and the high calibre team that she has assembled at MDisrupt. She has already proven the concept with more than 1,500 clinical experts and blue chip clients,” said Heather Henyon, Founding Partner of Mindshift Capital. “We are strong believers in improving healthcare through technology and digitalization. We see the future potential application of MDisrupt for further developing empirical clinical outcomes in the wellness industry, which is just beginning to converge with traditional healthcare.”

MDisrupt can help companies in the region who want to enter and expand into the US market with experts who can help them find and build their first teams there.

“We are thrilled that Mindshift Capital is joining this round!” said MDisrupt CEO and founder Ruby Gadelrab. “Their expertise and commitment to healthtech, as demonstrated by their investment thesis and portfolio companies, will be additive to our success globally.  We look forward to working with them to collectively improve healthcare outcomes in the US and Mena, which is near and dear to my heart as an Egyptian-American.”
