At ArabNet 2012, Ziad Matar, Head of Middle East region at Qualcomm, discusses the trends in mobile phones and how smart phones start controlling the world.
Matar discusses the move of the applications from web to mobile and their use in our daily life, he expects that social networking apps will keep dominating, but will see the growth of entertainment mobile apps. Matar sees that smart phones will enter the living room to connect with the rest of devices.
“We are trying to make smart phones affordable for everyone, and the most important apps will be the health apps”, says Matar. He also discusses the use of smart devices in education.
