MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) Pan Arab will be holding the final award ceremony and conference for the 12th edition of Arab Startup Competition on March 29 at Hilton Habtoor Grand Hotel. The competition brings 67 teams from the Arab world to compete in three main tracks, for a grand sum prize of USD 160,000. 

The conference will be open for the public and attended by several high-profile investors, entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts and innovators from around the Arab world. Also, the conference will include an exhibition area where the competing entrepreneurs and partners will showcase their products, services and technologies to the attendees and media. It will revolve around a number of panel discussions, keynote speeches, fireside chats, as well as announcing MITEF’s Arab Startup Competition winners.

The topics of the panel discussions are as follow: ‘Role of Governments in Fostering Growth of Digital Economies’, ‘Building on AI in Education to Prepare Tomorrow’s Workforce’, and ‘The Role of Fintech in Advancing Digital Economies’.

MIT Enterprise Forum will inaugurate its annual Impact Report. The report introduces the Arab Entrepreneurship Maturity Index and its 6 dimensions, by leveraging publicly available data to measure and study it. The report will unravel the impact of Arab Startup Competition on economies of Arab countries.

The conference will culminate with the announcement of 9 winners of the competition, who were decided upon by a panel of judges earlier during the day.
