Saudi Arabia’s Pd7 raises $1 million to fuel expansion
  • Saudi Arabia-based sports startup Pala De 7 (Pd7) has raised SAR 3,750,000 ($1 million) in investment, led by Grintafy, AlTahan and Shaghaf Investments. 
  • Founded in 2023 by Tarek Ashoor, Pd7 offers a user-centric platform for field registration, booking, and game matching.

Pala De 7 (Pd7) has secured a SAR 3,750,000 investment from Grintafy, AlTahan and Shaghaf Investments. The venture is poised to introduce an innovative platform exclusively tailored for padel enthusiasts across the Middle East, starting in the KSA. 

Pd7' aims to serve the Padel community with a user-centric platform, offering seamless field registration, easy booking, and an enhanced user experience with the help of AI technology for game matching.

The investment is dedicated to expanding 'Pd7' nationwide, introducing advanced technology to streamline pre-booking, gameplay, and post-booking experiences. Commenting on the venture, Mr. Tarek Ashoor, founder and CEO of Pd7, said, “I am excited that my vision is being shared with companies that are passionate about padel. We are ready to take the padel experience to the next level. An exciting new way to enhance the enjoyment of padel has arrived.”

Grintafy led the raise as it strives towards diversification into new sports beyond football, continuing to build the sports tech ecosystem in the region. This strategic step marks Grintafy's evolution in the sports industry, aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the Ministry of Sports’ vision. The Pd7 platform will be enhanced by the advanced technology of Grintafy. Mr. Majdi Allulu, the CEO of Grintafy, stated, “Entering a new sport is an exciting moment for us. The recent surge in padel's popularity, especially in Saudi Arabia, piqued our interest. We are recreating the success story of Grintafy in other sports. This has been our vision from the beginning.”

Majed M. AlTahan from AlTahan Investments also expressed confidence in the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with this pioneering e-platform, which we believe will redefine the paddle sports experience, a sport that is surging in popularity in the region. Our investment is a testament to our confidence in the vision and potential of Pd7.”

Pd7 is set to launch in early 2024 and will be available to download on both iOS and Android platforms.
