  • Founded in 2018 by Muhammad Gawish, Ebrahim Youssef, Mustafa Abdelmon'em and Osama Ghareb, iSchool offers live gamified classes led by coding instructors. Rubikal, founded in Egypt in 2016, develops real-time, scalable, fault-tolerant web applications.
  • The deal brings Rubikal’s 21 engineers and founding team into iSchool, strengthening its in-house technical capabilities.

Press release:

iSchool has announced the acquisition of software engineering firm Rubikal, marking a strategic step toward building a full-stack AI infrastructure for schools. The move reflects iSchool’s evolution from an education provider into a technology-driven platform focused on developing proprietary AI systems for K-12 learning.

Through the acquisition, Rubikal’s engineering team and leadership will be fully integrated into iSchool, strengthening its ability to design, build, and deploy scalable AI-powered education products. The companies previously collaborated for three years, during which Rubikal played a key role in developing iSchool’s platform.

With operations spanning more than 20 countries and a growing base of institutional clients, iSchool is now focusing on owning its technology stack, positioning itself to deliver more integrated, efficient, and scalable learning systems.
