Advice for women looking to advance in the workplace [Wamda TV]

At the recent World Economic Forum Meeting in Jordan this May, we caught up with Genny Ghanimeh, the founder of Pi Slice, a micro-credit platform empowering “micro-entrepreneurs” in the Middle East and North Africa.

In this brief interview, Ghanimeh discusses female business leadership and remaining boundaries to women leading new startups in the Arab world. She notes that women need to begin empowering themselves by defining their own ability and ambitions in the workplace. She adds that there are plenty of jobs available, it’s just a matter of going after them with confidence.

Ghanimeh also touches on the strengths of women to lead new ventures in the region. “It won’t be men giving us these roles, we have to go and take them,” she says.

Check out the short interview above to hear Ghanimeh’s advice for women looking to get ahead in the workplace.
