Failure is often an awkward and embarassing topic among entrepreneurs. Although it is not often discussed, failure is an important milestone in the road to suceess. This is exactly what the second edition of "Kammel"-the Arabic word for "carry on"- aims to highlight for Saudi entrepreneurs. Kammel is sponsored by MISK, STC and ELM.
The event, which takes place on October 17 at Al Thumama area in Riyadh, KSA, is organzied by Saudi platform Raat. It aims to celebrate failure and encourage entrepreneurs to share stories and experiences about failure, consequently turning them ito educational experiences for themselves and others. 130 to 160 attendees, male and female, will get the chance to network with industry experts and hear stories of failure from 8 to 12 entrepreneurs from various fields, along with the lessons they learned from them.
The event will also feature:
-3 expert-led entreprenneurial workshops
-A lecture about strategizing and dealing with crisis in your startup
-An award for the best failure story
Kammel will also include an idea-pitching contest where five winners will be selected. Two of the winners will be considered to join the next round of InspireU accelerator, while the other three will receive mentoring and support during the acceleration weekend (to be reevaluated of ther potential to enter InspireU at a later stage).
