Megatrends in MENA: the rise of entrepreneurship [Infographic]
Entrepreneurship has finally attained global megatrend status, according to EY, but MENA's founders knew that long ago.
EY’s megatrends report suggests that entrepreneurs around the world are young, and more and more likely to be women with about 126 million launching or operating new businesses in 67 countries around the world.
But in MENA, the figures are slightly different: the vast majority of founders are, albeit young, men.
Furthermore, although Wamda’s own research shows that, like their global peers, funding is one of, if not the biggest challenge, this year money has begun to appear like never before.
