Launched in app stores September 2016. Arabic and Arab-world specific emojis for your phone and desktop, from a variety of well-known and upcoming artists across the region.

Lebanon

This first saw the light in June 2016 at the
Innovating Response hackathon in Beirut. It’s a platform designed to provide Beirut parents with quick access to child care one in four of their babysitters from underprivileged communities in Lebanon.

Matic
Hospitality
UAE

Launched in early 2015, Matic is an on-demand platform for home services in the GCC. Starting in Dubai, they’ve since expanded to Abu Dhabi, Doha and Riyadh.

Park Key
Transport/finance
UAE

Since summer 2016 these guys have been partnering with private parking lots to enable drivers in Dubai to find spaces and then pay through the Park Key app. They apparently have thousands of users already and are having to scale fast.
 
Petriotics
Ecommerce
Lebanon

Launched earlier this year and currently incubated at Speed@BDD, in Beirut, this is an ecommerce platform specialising in all things cats and dogs - food, toys, accessories.
 
Scout My Car

This service launched in August and steps in to ‘scout’ a second-hand car that you’re looking to buy. They offer full-service vehicle inspections including pick-up, drop-off, service history reports and price recommendations.
 
Wan’go
Social
Lebanon

A self-declared woman friendly dating app, Wan’go is short for ‘wanna go’. Currently incubated at Speed@BDD in Beirut they recently launched in South Africa and will launch in Lebanon soon.
