ArabNet Beirut returns with its 8th edition this year, expecting over 1,300 corporate executives, marketing industry leaders, entrepreneurs and investors to discuss the latest trends in the digital sector in the region, as well as the opportunities available for companies working in that space.

With the increasing availability of VC funding in Lebanon, which ranks second regionally, the conference poses a great opportunity for networking among entrepreneurs and investors looking to explore and support digital innovation from within the region.

The conference will span over three days starting February 20 - 22 at the Hilton Habtoor 
Hotel, Sin El-Fil, Beirut. Regular registration for the event will remain open till February 6.

Each day of the conference has a main theme:

Banking Innovation Day:

Mobile banking users in MENA will exceed 80 million by 2017, according to Gemalto. The Banking Innovation Day will bring together 150 bankers, technology providers and agencies to discuss the latest innovations in banking technology, from smart branches to mobile payments.

The Day will feature two full tracks, one focused on digital marketing for banks, the other on digital products/ channels - which will allow leaders in the banking sector to source suppliers and service providers who can help them navigate these digital transformations.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship Day:

With more than $250M available in seed and venture capital, and over 65 investments taking place between 2013-2015, Lebanon is one of the thriving capitals for digital innovation in MENA.  ArabNet Beirut addresses the Lebanese ecosystem and highlights the technology innovation sector in neighboring markets such as Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Syria and Iraq, home to some of MENA’s top innovators.

The event features competitions for promising youths, including
Startup Battle (previously Startup Demo), Ideathon and Innovation Avenue (hardware focused). The deadline for applying to the competitions is January 26, so make sure to check the eligibility criteria & apply before that date.

Digital Media & Marketing Day:

Brands and agencies are striving to adapt to the needs and interests of customers in the digital age. As touch points between businesses and their customers multiply, agencies are working hand-in-hand with brands to help reshape the consumer experience – from product creation to customer service.

The event explores the technologies being leveraged to engage a more connected consumer, and features leading brands in discussions on new trends and technologies in advertising, media and marketing. It also features
Creative Combat, a competition for young marketeers to design the best digital marketing campaign and win $5000.

Speakers at ArabNet Beirut include Elizabeth Lumley, Farshad Nowshadi, and Erik Katz. In addition, the ArabNet TechFair will feature over 50 companies from across the region and the world to showcase the latest trends, applications and technologies in multiple industries.
