Udacity is proud to partner with the American University in Cairo to launch Udacity Connect @ AUC Campus. This partnership is born from our shared vision and commitment to increasing learning opportunities for deserving students in Egypt and across the Arab world.
Clarissa Shen, COO of Udacity, shares, “Udacity is honored to work with the American University in Cairo, the leading academic institution in Egypt. Together, we will help students to learn the skills that are in demand in the tech industry as we bring the most future-ready technology courses from Silicon Valley tech giants to the region.”
At Udacity, our mission is to democratize education by bringing accessible, affordable, engaging, and highly effective higher education to the world. We believe that higher education is a basic human right, and we seek to give students the opportunity to advance their education and careers.
This program with AUC will be combining our online curriculums with physical classrooms to be held on AUC Campus on a weekly basis for a ‘turbocharged’ learning experience. Our initial focus will be in the fields of data science and mobile development.
Clarissa Shen added, “Our team in Egypt has worked to make our services and products available in Arabic to increase access to these programs. We have made significant investments to bring the right leadership and team to this initiative to build the jobs of tomorrow in the region.”
Udacity, a pioneer in online education, is building "University by Silicon Valley".
