At Oventure’s annual Mashable Social Media Day Egypt in Alexandria last June, the day’s discussions covered a range of social media topics including how to build a brand online and how to track and analyze the performance of your social media marketing.
After first asking attendees about their use of internal or outsourced social media staff, we caught up with several startup founders to ask: “How do you encourage brand engagement on social media?”
One respondent, Fadi Ramzi from Interact Egypt, recommends that social media marketers carefully plan out their strategy, what he calls a cycle of “plan, do, check, act”. “You need to identify who your target audience is," he adds. "What are their interests, their personalities… have KPIs to measure your performance monthly, then adapt accordingly”.
