WebTeb, the Arabic health and lifestyle portal launched by Palestinian entrepreneur Mahmoud Kaiyal, has announced a new partnership with famous Egyptian chef Manal Al-Alem, to help its viewers make better nutritional choices.
Via cooking shows and a website at manalonline.com, Manal Al-Alem has shared recipes and knowledge about cooking traditional Middle Eastern dishes with her audience for over 15 years. WebTeb will now showcase her recipes in their TebStyle section, adding nutritional information, as well as potential ingredient adaptations for diabetics, pregnant women, and those with health concerns.
“We are committed to improve the health and well-being of the Arabic speaking region, and this includes providing people with better nutritional information and above all showing that one can enjoy traditional Middle Eastern food while staying aware of healthy life choices," Kaiyal said in a statement.
The move positions WebTeb alongside Jordanian portal Zaytouneh and Lebanese portal Shahiya as another source for online information about cooking, yet its focus on nutritional content will be primarily on health.
