WE’Resilient is a startup competition organized by the World Bank in partnership with IE Business group. The competition encourages the creation and growth of women-run businesses and startups. Participants will be selected from three cities of the MENA region, Beirut, Cairo, and Djibouti. Participating startups will pitch high impact business solutions to clear city risks in the MENA region.

The competition will run for a duration of five months. The  initial face-to-face workshops will be on May 13 and 14, 2015, in Cairo. It will be followed by online mentoring from May 15, 2015, to July 1, 2015. After all finalized plans have been submitted, the grand final will be held on September 10 and 11, 2015, in Marseille, France. One winning team from each of the three participating cities will be selected. The winning teams will receive up to $100,000 USD, 12 to 18 months of business mentorship, and an accelerated MBA Training from IE Business School.
