Paquik closes $85K pre-seed to back P2P cross-border shipping
  • UAE-based crowdshipping startup Paquik has closed an $85,000 pre-seed round from angel investors to scale its cross-border crowdshipping platform, which connects senders with verified travellers heading to the same destination.
  • Launched in 2022 by George Antakis, Paquik operates as a mobile app that connects individuals who need to send items internationally with verified travellers already heading to the same destination.
  • The company will use the funding to enhance its mobile app, strengthen trust and verification systems, expand its team, and activate new GCC travel corridors ahead of a planned $300K seed round in 2026.

Press release:

Dubai-based cross-border crowdshipping startup Paquik closed an $85,000 pre-seed funding round in November 2025 from angel investors to operationalise and scale its asset-light logistics model.

Paquik operates as a mobile app that connects individuals who need to send items internationally with verified travellers already heading to the same destination. By leveraging unused luggage space, the platform enables peer-to-peer cross-border deliveries supported by identity verification (KYC), secure escrow payments, ratings systems, and dispute resolution mechanisms.

The company launched with a focused corridor between the UAE and Egypt — a high-traffic travel route characterised by strong diaspora flows and price sensitivity in small shipments. On this route, Paquik has validated marketplace demand, observed repeat user behaviour, and generated over $10,000 in early revenue. The platform has attracted more than 17,000 registered users to date.

Unlike traditional logistics providers, Paquik follows an asset-light approach, avoiding fleets and warehouse infrastructure. Expansion is driven by activating new high-density travel corridors and strengthening its trust architecture rather than capital-intensive physical networks.

The pre-seed funding has been deployed to enhance the mobile application, strengthen verification systems, expand the operational team across development and customer support, and increase awareness through ecosystem events and targeted outreach.

“We are focused on building trust as infrastructure,” said George Antakis, Founder of Paquik. “Cross-border mobility already exists at scale. Our role is to coordinate that movement safely and efficiently.”

In 2026, Paquik plans to expand across additional GCC corridors, introduce new product enhancements, and open a $300,000 seed round to support its next growth phase.
