Press release:

Dubai-based gifting platform Udora has raised $10 million in a private funding round, as it looks to scale its operations across the Middle East and expand into Saudi Arabia later this year, according to Entrepreneur Middle East.

Founded in 2014, Udora connects customers with local florists, confectioners, and artisan sellers through a marketplace that operates across more than 50 markets and 1,500 cities. The platform has built its model around enabling SMEs to fulfil orders directly, removing the need for sellers to invest in their own digital infrastructure.

The new capital will be deployed to expand the platform’s product catalogue, deepen localisation efforts, and enhance its technology stack, including AI-powered personalisation tools aimed at improving user experience and marketplace efficiency.

The company is preparing to launch in Saudi Arabia in the third quarter of 2026, positioning the market as a key growth driver amid rising e-commerce adoption and a young, digitally native consumer base.

Udora’s growth in the UAE reflects this trajectory, with its seller network expanding by 66.5% in 2025. The platform reported that all orders in the market are fulfilled by local SMEs, reinforcing its focus on enabling domestic businesses.

The Middle East and North Africa region already contributes around one-third of the company’s gross merchandise value (GMV), highlighting its importance within Udora’s global strategy.

As part of its next phase, Udora is also investing in AI-driven tools to streamline operations and improve customer experience. Its customer support bot currently resolves 41% of queries, contributing to faster response times and higher customer satisfaction.

With the new funding and planned rebrand, Udora is positioning itself as a globally scalable gifting marketplace, focused on localisation, marketplace density, and technology-led growth.
