Press release:

Saudi digital health startup Metafare has closed its first funding round at $1 million, backed by Harmonics Ventures and a group of family offices, as it looks to scale its AI and virtual reality-powered healthcare platform.

The funding will support the company’s expansion across Saudi Arabia, development of its AI-driven personalisation technologies, and growth of its health content library, with plans to gradually enter wider Gulf markets.

Founded to rethink how healthcare is delivered, Metafare combines virtual reality and artificial intelligence to offer interactive, remote health experiences that eliminate the need for traditional clinic visits.

The platform focuses on improving both physical fitness and mental wellbeing, delivering short, personalised sessions that integrate easily into users’ daily routines, whether at home or in the workplace.

Since launching in mid-2025, Metafare has delivered over 3,000 virtual health sessions, reflecting the rising demand for flexible, accessible healthcare solutions among individuals and organisations.

With increasing interest from companies in employee wellbeing programmes, the startup is positioning itself at the intersection of healthcare, workplace productivity, and digital innovation.

Looking ahead, Metafare plans to enhance its AI capabilities, expand its offering, and scale across the Gulf, as demand grows for technology-enabled, preventive healthcare solutions.
